Decked area with glass balustrade

In this garden we have replaced an existing painted deck with a new pressure treated version. The decking now joins various areas of the garden and ties the whole look together. It means that the transition from one space to another is seamless.

A finishing detail that we have incorporated is the glass balustrade; a modern edition to mirror the amount of glass in the house and new building.

Since this space is for family, it’s main footfall will inevitably be in the evenings or at weekends. Strategically placed lighting was essential to make the whole area usable during these times.
